• Dr. Kerstin Forsberg

    Dr. Kerstin Forsberg has 20 years of experience in research and education in separation processes, with a focus on crystallization and precipitation. She applies this knowledge in projects concerning the hydrometallurgical recovery of resources from primary and secondary sources, e.g., spent batteries, magnet waste, pickling acid, red mud and apatite.

     

    Dr. Forsberg is Head of the division for resource recovery at KTH. She is also the current Chair of the Hydrometallurgy and Electrometallurgy Committee at The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS). She is the lead organizer for the Rare Metal Extraction and Processing symposium at TMS to be given in Orlando in 2024.

     

    Forsberg regularly contributes to international conferences as a member of scientific committees. She is a passionate advocate for collaboration for sustainable development.
