    Dr. Marcomini graduated from the University of Padua, was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Toronto, and research associate at the Polytechnic of Zurich. He is a partner in several international and national research projects, an author/coauthor of over 300 papers and an editor and coauthor of two books.

     

    He is a member of national and international advisory committees on chemical environmental quality, environmental risk assessment, definition and implementation of environmental quality standards, the master plan of contaminated mega-sites, etc. He is the unit leader of the 'Environmental Chemistry & Environmental risk assessment research team and a coordinator of the H2020 SUNSHINE project.

    Currently, he is a president of the Division of Environmental and Cultural Heritage Chemistry of SCI, national delegate of the European Chemical Societies, dean of CoRiLa, director of the masters in Environmental rehabilitation and recovery of contaminated sites and Science and techniques for the prevention and environmental safety and coordinator of the PhD programme in Science and management of Climate Changes.

     

    Dr. Marcomini has received the Ca' Foscari Research Award (2012) and the SCI-Medal Arnaldo Liberti Award (2014).
